"OMG, I was going to buy a NutriBullet Pro but was hesitant to pay the 150 dollars. When I arrived at Bed Bath & Beyond to purchase the NutriBullet Pro I noticed the Nutri Ninja sitting next to them for almost half the price. The 900 Watt on the box of the Nutri Ninja caught my attention. The 900 Watt Motor was the only reason I was buying the NutriBullet Pro. After putting the boxes side by side and doing a comparison of each product what I liked about the Ninja was the blade. It looked to be made from a harder steal and looked a lot sharper. It also had blades on top of the blades sticking up. I also liked the fact the Ninja was 900 Watts of horsepower. BB&B had demos setup for each product. So after talking to store employees and comparing the details of each box description I thought it was a no brainer to pay 89 dollars for the Nutri Ninja instead of the 150 for the NutriBullet.
Once I got the Nutri Ninja home. I filled the 24oz. cup with ice cream, fresh strawberries, frozen fruit, milk, protein powder and ice. I was totally amazed at how powerful this blender is. "I received this as a Christmas gift, and so far, I love it. I currently own a Krups blender, which was only about $30, and I was preparing to buy something like a Viking Blender - something that has a much more powerful motor system, for around $150, when my parents got me this. The great thing about it is that it's not necessarily a blender. I mean, it is by definition, but there's a couple key differences. Blenders have an inherent flaw of only blending what's at the bottom, especially when it's something thick like a shake. I always ended up with big chunks of ice cubes in my shakes even after 3 minutes of blending. The ice just never reached the bottom. Not a problem with this system. Even if the blender carafe didn't have 3 sets of blades, it already works better than a blender because the blades aren't embedded in the bottom of the carafe. Which allows me to point out another awesome thing - don't you hate trying to scoop out your drink from the recessed blade area of a blender? And sometimes it just never gets clean? Or it leaks if you don't screw it on tight enough, or, God forbid (this happened to me once) the whole carafe unscrews itself while it's blending and crap flies everywhere? I love the design of the Ninja system if for nothing else than just to avoid all of that!

I haven't used this system for too many things yet, but let me tell you one thing it excels at - chopping ice. And I don't mean those dinky ice cubes that you get in the plastic trays. If you know anything about silicone ice molds, it makes the cubes huge and square. I looked at the ice cubes, and then at the Ninja and thought "let's give this a whirl". Boy was I surprised. Not only did it pulverize the cubes, but it did so in less than 30 seconds. Unlike my Krups blender, which would get hot and almost smoke if left on too long to try and pulverize the ice cubs, the Ninja motor didn't even get warm.
Now, onto the cons, which really aren't that bad. The whole system itself does take up a lot of space. I honestly don't think I need 3 carafes with 3 separate sets of blades and 3 lids. I have used the chopper, and it's definitely nice, but I don't know if I'll ever use the middle one. Maybe if I needed to chop something big like carrots or celery or something, I don't know. Another con is the obvious inability to allow it to sit there and blend something because you have to hold down the button for the motor. Now, this might not be so bad because it is extremely powerful, the blades are VERY sharp, and it doesn't take long to pulverize anything. But, it would be nice to be able to set it, and walk away for 30 seconds to do something else, even if it's nothing more than preparing to put more ice cubes in, (which, is another flaw - you have to remove the motor and the lid before adding any solids). But, I think the flaws in the system, the way it's designed, allows the user to avoid dealing with the problems a normal blender has, and that's worth it to me."

"I was ready to write a great review for this blender the moment I got it, but I thought, no, I should test it out, see if it fails to perform over time. It's been months and it's just been a wonderful blender, no problems. The pulse button is a very handy addition, because it modifies both HIGH and LOW buttons with one push, so it's very one-hand-friendly. It's got a strong motor, which is not too noisy ... you can smoothly lift the cups to stop it automatically, which is super smart. Altogether a very neatly designed product.I use it every day, so it gets a serious work out on a weekly basis. Grinding coffee, making soups, smoothies, chopping vegetables into purees (of course you have to add liquid, it's not a food processor!). Whipping cream, chopping nuts, blending hot soups (careful, only fill it half way and start on LOW), etc...

"I have had the Ninja 1100 for two weeks, and am very happy with my purchase. I bought the Ninja because my Oster blender doesn't have the power to do a good job crushing ice for frozen drinks or blend frozen fruit and ice into sorbets or smoothies. My brother bought a Vitamix, which does an excellent job, but at over $600 is WAY outside my price range.
Overall, the Ninja does a great job. The blender is powerful enough to turn a full carafe of ice into fine snow. I take frozen fruit (peaches, mixed berries) add a little fruit juice, ice, Splenda and yogurt to make awesome fruit sorbet for dessert - it comes out the consistency of soft-serve ice cream. It also makes some of the best frozen margaritas ever - smooth and icy, but you can use less ice because it is so powerful.
If you read some other reviews, you will see that there are complaints that the blender doesn't always blend everything perfectly smooth. The important word here is "perfectly" - it does sometimes leave small bits of ice or fruit. However, if "great" is what you are looking for instead of "perfect", you should be really happy with this purchase."

"This machine is even better than the infomercial. I have owned 3 blenders in the past year - all junk from generally good name brands. Well, 3am feeding for my 2 month old son and ESPN channel on the bug and I am watching the Ninja. I have used it to make smoothies, malts and even a banana bread and this thing rocks! Ice truly does turn to powder. Clean up is a breeze. I don't generally like to share my opinion on these things but after getting shafted 3 times, I really feel obligated to let you know that this is one machine that is truly wicked awesome."

"Despite the great reviews, I almost didn't get this because my wife was worried that she'd be unable to detach the parts due to one review mentioning that as a problem.
I completely believe that the reviewer's wife did, in fact, find it difficult to detach the motor from the attachments. Perhaps the unit was defective, or maybe there's some other issue, but I wanted to assure others that this is not, in fact, a general problem with this blender. It attaches firmly, but it's not that difficult to detach. To be sure that it wasn't just my perception as a reasonably large adult male, I had my six and a half year old daughter try, and she was able to separate the parts without issue.
If you receive a defective unit, or if you lack the hand strength or size of a first grader, you might find it difficult to take this apart, but otherwise I see no reason to believe that you will.
Beyond that, this blender as as good as all the other reviews say it is. It is exceedingly well built and powerful. The variable speed control is a fantastic feature. The accessories work together like a charm. Cleaning is easy.
